10-25mm
These small blades are used to create “mosaic” floors. Mosaic parquet can be used to create a variety of patterns. This parquet is exclusively glued to the screed and is particularly suitable for areas with high traffic.
25-50mm
This type of plank was mainly used at the time for nailed installation on a cottage. Thanks to its delicacy and its fine and elegant style, parquet with very narrow and long planks still has its place among exceptional parquet floors. It is often used in mansions or castles.
50-90m
A major fashion in the 2000s, parquet flooring was often made of exotic wood. They are still produced today but rather in native species such as oak, beech or maple.
90-120mm
Boards with a width of between 90 and 120mm have now become the standard, especially in solid parquet.
120-160mm
It is not uncommon to find this type of plank in semi-solid parquet. In fact, semi-solid wood makes it possible to manufacture wider blades because the manufacturing technique makes the wood more stable. It can easily be said that parquet floors composed of planks of this size have gradually become the norm.
160-220mm
We can consider that a floor composed of such a width is a very high-end parquet.
220-520 mm
After a certain width of planks, we can consider these floors to be exceptional. In fact, the wider a blade is, the more difficult it becomes to obtain a good quality free of defects. There are very wide floorboards up to 520mm wide
